Web Portfolio
My favorite quote: "If you want what you have never had, you must be willing to do what you have never done." This was said by Thomas Jefferson. I went on to do something that I have never done. I will receive a bachelor of science in dietetics from Bowling Green State University in May of 2015 and it is the greatest achievement so far in my journey of life.
Introduction
Hi there! My name is Raymond S. Payne and I am glad that you have taken the time to check out my web portfolio. I play many roles in life. I am the youngest of three children. I am an uncle to 5 nephews and 1 niece. Most importantly I am a dedicated student at Bowling Green State University, striving for excellence and success.
Career Decisions
I have had many wonderful jobs. My first job was at McDonald's and as the years went on I became a swing manager and eventually an assistant manager. I was at McDonalds for a total of 5 years and gained a great deal of experience with people skills. Figuring out what your customer wants and needs is important in food service.
My next job was at Sauder Woodworking and this job taught me time management skills and the importance of quality.
My last job was at a home health care agency which made me realize that I really wanted to make a difference in life and teach about food and nutrition.
Now that I am a senior my current focus is my internship which I hope to complete through distance education at Bowling Green State University. I aim to start my Master's degree with the graduate certificate program and then complete my Master's degree after I obtain my Registered Dietitian status. I have a passion for community wellness and I hope to continue along with this path. My college experiences have been exactly what I expected them to be and they have prepared me for a wonderful and excited career it is my dream to become a Registered Dietitian and dreams are reachable through hard work and dedication.
